New Association Formed to Promote Flax Lignans
The Flax Lignan Association, Chicago, IL, has been formed to support the science and safety behind standardized flax lignan ingredients. The organization promotes the valuable health benefits associated with daily intake of flax lignans, supports clinical studies essential to establishing and advancing the benefits of flax lignans, and works collaboratively on developing a central resource for safety data and allergens. The organization is also responsible for labeling and marketing of ingredients. Membership is open to industry participants and any manufacturer with a standardized flax lignan ingredient.
